ESD Wrist Band is a very important ESD Product used in nearly all electronic or SMT assemblies for ESD safety. It’s function is to transfer the static charges (accumulated on the body) to the ground.
It consists of 3 parts: The Wrist Band, a long coiled wire and a connector.
The Wrist Band is worn around the wrist (like a wrist watch) which is connected to the coiled wire by a button.
The coiled wire takes the charges and helps to take it down to the connector.
The connector (usually a crocodile pin or a button) is connected to a grounding point which grounds the charges.
